| owns the Escort 9500ci as a jammer. When it comes to laser jammers the Blinder M27/47 is the way to go but nothing beats the Laser Interceptor when it comes to laser jamming. Escort makes great radar detectors, their laser jammers just isnt up to par. NONE of the escort jammers in the ci or zr4 can beat a blinder or laser interceptor. Not only that the 9500ci sucks as a radar detector, only thing it has going for it is its not windshield mount (more stealthy look). The ci's head radar detector usually mounts lower along with its jammer heads e.g. like under a bumper grille opening which reduces it detection level. Mounting higher such as level where a rear view mirror is mounted is the way to go and thats why a windshield detector like the 9500ix or Valentine One is better than a 9500ci. Your best combo would be using a 9500ix, redline, valentine one mounted high on the windshield and running a jammer like the blinder m27/47 or Laser interceptor gen 8 in the grille. When going this route its still cheaper than the 9400ci package and a better overall package.
